The DeepMind Scholarship is open to four distinguished scholars wishing to embark on postgraduate studies at Queen Mary University London, UK for the 2022/23 academic session
About the DeepMind Scholarship
The DeepMind Scholarship at Queen Mary University of London is a program that aims to support and encourage underrepresented groups to pursue postgraduate training in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer science.
The scholarships are specifically aimed at female and/or black students, as these students are currently underrepresented in these fields of study.
Selection criterion:
To be eligible to apply for these scholarships, applicants must:
- Be a UK or international student.
- Do you identify as Female or fall within one of the following ethnic categories: Black African; Black Caribbean; Black Other; Mixed – White and Black Caribbean; Mixed – White and Black Africans; or other mixed background (including Black African, Black Caribbean, or Black Other).
- To have a confirmed study offer in one of the following programs in September 2022: MSc in Artificial Intelligence (full-time), MSc Computer Science (full-time), MSc Computer Games (full-time) and MSc in Machine Learning for Visual Data Analytics (full-time) at Queen Mary University London.

Application process:
To apply for these scholarships, applicants must –
1. Please check your eligibility to apply first. The panel will not consider applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria, and awards may be withdrawn if it is later determined that the applicants did not meet the eligibility criteria or provided false information.

3. To complete your application you must provide:
- A copy of your letter of offer to study in one of the following programs at Queen Mary: MSc in Artificial Intelligence (Full Time), MSc Computer Science (FT), MSc Computer Games or MSc in Machine Learning for Visual Data Analytics (FT) program.
- A completed application form, including a brief statement of no more than 500 words explaining why you should be considered for the award and what motivated your interest in this field of study at Queen Mary University of London.
- A CV
A selection panel will shortlist applications and make a final decision on which five students will receive the award. Applicants will be notified of the result by August 15, 2020
scholarship benefits
Each DeepMind grant covers the cost of tuition fees, £11,850 (international fees – £27,250), a living allowance of £15,480, an annual travel grant of £2,000 and a one-off equipment grant of £1,500.
