There are the following types of University of Calgary scholarships:

  • University of Calgary International Admissions Scholarship: $20,000 (renewable)

Grant Criteria:

To qualify for a University of Calgary scholarship, the candidate must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Required language: English.
  • Eligible Countries: All countries in the world

University of Calgary International Admissions Scholarship:

  • Offered annually to international students beginning the first year of any Bachelor’s degree in the upcoming fall semester and who have met the university’s English language proficiency requirements. Renewable in second, third, and fourth years at the University of Calgary provided recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or greater over at least 24.00 units in the previous Fall and Winter semester and continue to pay an international differentiated tuition as International students.
  • International students who are required to pay a different fee and are not Canadian citizens or Canadian permanent residents

Please follow the application guidelines below to apply for this scholarship:

(1) Apply for your undergraduate degree at the university:

  • You can start your application. Start by creating one UCalgary eID.
  • Use the application guide to help you with your application.
  • Submit your application and pay your $145 application fee.
  • Based on your application, we will tell you at your Calgary Student Center how and where to submit the required documents. Visit the documents page for more informations.

(2) Apply for the scholarship, follow the next steps:

  1. Access your student center in your myUofC portal.
  2. In your Student Center, click on the My Finances page.
  3. Scroll down to the Awards and Scholarships section and click Apply for Undergraduate Awards. Please make sure popups are enabled. If pop-ups are blocked, the page will not be displayed.
  4. A pop-up window will open on your screen with all open or recently closed applications. Please note the application deadlines and application deadlines.
