2023 Elks National Foundation Scholarship Grants in the USA

To support the goal and academic pursuit of young minds who wish to study in the USA, Elks National Foundation USA Scholarships are now available! all interested applicants are invited to apply.

This scholarship is open for the 2023/24 academic session to support gifted students who wish to pursue studies in the United States but do not have the financial ability to do so.

Since 1931, the Elks National Foundation has been helping students achieve their academic dreams. Each year, we award more than $3 million in college scholarships to at least 800 outstanding, service-minded high school seniors.

The Elks National Foundation Scholarship Contest for Most Valuable Student is open to all high school seniors who are US citizens. Applicants must progress at the local, county, and state levels to reach national competition. The top national finalists will be selected to attend a leadership weekend hosted in Chicago, IL. The Elks National Foundation awards 500 prestigious four-year scholarships to the top-scoring applicants in the competition.

Each award is designed to cover a significant portion of the student’s educational expenses — including tuition, living expenses, books, and required fees. Awards vary from person to person based on tuition as well as other grants or scholarships he or she may receive.

The Elks National Foundation Scholarship Program provides the recipient with:

  • The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the top-scoring applicants in the 2023 competition.
  • The Most Valuable Student Scholarships range from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year and are intended for students pursuing four years of full-time study (minimum 12 semester hours) at a US college or university. All scholarships are awarded in the form of award certificates, which are contingent upon the winner’s full-time enrollment at an accredited US college or university.
  • The Chicago office of the Elks National Foundation will announce the 500 national winners in late April 2023. (Many local lodges, districts, and state elk associations award their own scholarships through this program. These scholarships are not to be confused with the 500 Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarships.)

Admission Criteria

  • Current high school seniors or equivalent who are citizens of the United States may apply.
  • applicant do not must be related to a member of the moose.
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States at the time of application; Permanent legal residency status does not entitle it.
