London South Bank University is pleased to present its Chancerygate Foundation Scholarship for African and Caribbean Students for the 2022-2023 academic year. Both new and existing international students can apply to the program.
Applicants for this scholarship must be of African and Caribbean descent and wish to enroll in specific undergraduate surveying programs leading to Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) certification. It will enable qualified students to break down barriers and create stable jobs in the real estate industry.

selection criterion
- They identify with an African and Caribbean background.
- Your household income is less than £25,000 per year.
- You are under 26 years old when you start your studies.
- You are the first generation in your family to achieve higher education.
- They self-identify as disabled or have a specific learning difference.
- You have spent time in foster care in the UK, have been placed in foster care or are estranged from your family.
- Social services recognize you as a young adult.
- You enter higher education with a BTEC as your main qualification.
- You are an adult student (at least 21 years old on September 1st prior to the start of your studies) and do not currently have a bachelor’s degree
Applicable Subjects
The university offers a BSc in building surveying or a BSc in quantitative surveying as an undergraduate course.

Application benefits:
- Student beneficiaries receive £10,000 a year towards living expenses and access to real work experience opportunities in the industry.
- For students in a multi-year course, the scholarship is paid every academic year, with the exception of students completing an internship year.
- Scholarship recipients will receive their scholarship in two equal installments of £5,000.
- Continued receipt of the scholarship is conditional on students entering the next academic year.
